Salim Khan Health Update: Salman Khan’s Father Stable After Brain Haemorrhage Procedure At Lilavati Hospital
Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, father of Salman Khan, was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday, February 17, after his health suddenly deteriorated due to a brain haemorrhage, hospital officials confirmed. The 90-year-old was taken to the facility early in the morning by his family doctor when his blood pressure spiked and he experienced jerks, prompting emergency care and immediate monitoring in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Doctors at the hospital clarified that Salim Khan did not undergo a major surgery but was treated with a medical procedure this morning. His treating physician, Dr Jalil Parkar, said that as part of the treatment for the haemorrhage he was placed on a ventilator as a precautionary measure to prevent his condition from worsening. “There was minimal brain haemorrhage. A small procedure was done this morning… He is fine and stable but is still on a ventilator. By tomorrow, hopefully, we will take him off the ventilator,” Dr Parkar told the media, adding that age will factor into a longer recovery timeline.
While his condition remains stable, Salim Khan is under close medical observation in the ICU as doctors continue to monitor his vitals and response to treatment. The hospital has indicated that a detailed health bulletin would be released with the family’s consent.
Family members, including Salman Khan, his siblings and close relatives, have been present at the hospital throughout this period to support the veteran writer. The news of his hospitalisation sparked widespread concern among fans, film personalities and well-wishers across the industry. Many have sent prayers and messages hoping for his swift recovery.
